Eva Dawson, OTR/L graduated from Eastern Michigan University with her Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2001. In 2004 she moved to Nebraska to work with children who have autism spectrum disorders. She was the first occupational therapist to serve on the Autism Society State Board in which she advocated insurance coverage for children with autism. While working at York Hospital she was integral in the development of their pediatric outpatient program. Eva has traveled around the state consulting and educating with teachers and other professionals. In 2009 Eva took a position with Grand Island Physical Therapy at the Balance and Mobility Center focusing on neuro-rehabilitation and women’s health. While running the occupational therapy program she developed it into what is now the Women’s Health and Healing Center. As the Director of Women’s Health she has developed Nebraska’s first Pre/Post Breast Cancer Rehab program. This program has assisted in the development of similar programs around the state. Eva also has extensive training in women’s and men’s health including pelvic pain, dyspareunia, bowel and bladder incontinence, and pre/post pregnancy rehab. Her other specialties include sexual dysfunction, couples sexuality issues, post-surgical scar tissue release, digestive health issues, pelvic organ prolapse, anxiety and sleep related issues. Visceral Manipulation, Rain Drop technique, and natural pain relief, trauma, and chronic health issues are also areas of expertise.
